This is Me

Hello!

I am an visual artist out of New York City. I love spending my time making all sorts of things. My focus spans from taking photos and painting to creating stationery (from those photos and paintings), and designing coloring books.

It's the best of both worlds because I make stationery and coloring books that can be used in everyday life, while also making photos and paintings to be used to make a room or hallway or office or just about anywhere, feel homey and comfortable.

I love making stationery. It's so fun to have pretty paper to write notes on.

My grandmother lived in the U.K., and used to send me letters on that crinkly blue airmail paper. I loved getting those letters and still have them. There is something special about getting a note through the mail on actual paper.

I also make geometric coloring pages. I originally started creating coloring pages while I was trying to think up activities that I could do with my father while he lived with Alzheimer's disease. I wanted something that would be fun, would bring on a sense of accomplishment, and would not take a long time to finish.

I chose to create geometric shape designs because my Dad used to work with blueprints, and those shapes reminded him of the job he enjoyed so much. I love geometric shapes as well, so it worked out great for both of us!

This activity was a hit, and we started coloring together several times a week. Other people started to join us, and it turned into a group activity. As more of us started to color, I realized that the pages could bring anyone a breather, a moment to just be.
