I care about our planet, and all those who inhabit it.

I create with intention, using as many renewable and recyclable materials as possible.

I strive to develop healthy habits that don’t contribute to the pollution of our water and our earth. It's a constant learning process, and I try to adapt accordingly.

I try hard to use packaging that does not include plastic. For the most part, I figured out the way to do it, with one exception, for art and photograph prints. I use clear acid-free archival poly bags for art and photographs.

There are a couple reasons for this: the bag provides protection for the art and matting both during shipment. Without the bag, the matting may develop creases and get dirty, and the art or photograph may get scratched.

Another reason is that people often want to look at their art while they take the time to decide what they want to do with it. The clear bag allows the art or photo to be seen in full.

I continue to look alternative shipping and storage ideas, such as seaweed bags, but so far, I haven’t found anything that fits my current need. Any material that touches the art or photo needs to be made of a material that will not do damage to it, while also fitting securely around the art or photo.

I hope to find something that can replace poly bags soon. In the meantime, these bags are strong enough to be re-purposed for storage of other photos, articles, recipes, paperwork, light objects and light clothing.

I pledge to do my best as a steward of the planet. While I know I don't have all the answers to the environmental crisis that impacts the planet every day, I will continue to do my best to find possible solutions in my own little world. Please send me a note if you have any suggestions for sustainable packaging.

I know things feel pretty disturbing and bleak for many of us here in the U.S. and across the planet right now.

There are so many injustices occurring on a daily basis that it's hard to find stable ground to stand on.

The best thing we can do is to find a way to support our communities - whether local, national, or international. There are many ways to help. Whether it is volunteering your time, donating money or goods, protesting, or reaching out to your representative and senators, having tough conversations with friends and family, it all matters.

Speaking up is important. You never know who is looking for their courage. When people see other people standing up, it helps them be brave.

I have always felt the need to speak up when I see injustice occurring. In today's climate it feels especially urgent to make it clear where I stand:

I love Immigrants.

I love Trans people.

I love Black people.

I love Brown people.

I love Disabled people.

I promise to support any community that is being targeted by this administration.

ICE should be abolished.
-It's not ok to kidnap people off the street and put them in atrocious internment camps.

-It's not ok to brutalize people in our neighborhoods and in our communities.

-It's not ok to commit human rights abuses of any kind.

-It's not ok to take away any of our civil rights.

-It's not ok to make it harder for people to seek medical care.

-It wasn't ok to dissolve USAid.

-Climate change is real.

Everyone should be able to pursue a decent life that maintains hope, humanity and dignity. I hope we get there someday.

In the meantime, please do what you are can to work against the systems that feed on injustice. Any kind of help matters, probably more than you know.

If my speaking up causes you to not buy anything from me, I understand. I base my purchases on on the stances companies take, so I get it.
